On 28th of September 2009 the Central Committee of Degrees and Titles vested The Faculty of Information Technology of PJAIT in Warsaw the right to award Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science.
Thus, this year PJATK inaugurates postgraduate education - doctoral studies.
General information concerning doctoral studies:
- Full-time doctoral education in IT lasts 4 years. During the first 3 years the programme comprises lectures, seminars and doctoral workshops. In addition, PhD students take part in a lectureship for 3 years. The fourth year includes seminars with a mentor/academic tutor. During the doctoral workshops, which take place once a semester, every student presents all the doctoral work and accomplishments achieved in the semester in front of other doctoral students, tutors and the head of PhD studies.
- Since 2015/2016 there is no tuition fee.
- During the first semester the PhD students of PJATK should choose their learning mentors. The details are in the doctoral studies regulations.
- PhD students are eligible to apply for: scholarships within the framework of financial support for students, minister’s scholarship, as well as doctoral scholarship for the 30% top PhD students.
